Forever Living Review- Aloe Propolis creme and MPD fabric wash solution

Hello and Welcome back to SandraViews, a blog spot where I discuss all products, event and items related to my Family, life and Views on the World. I am not sponsored by anyone mentioned in this post , nor have I been paid, I am merely offering my opinion and views as I see them.

You will know if you have read any past blog posts of mine, that I have a Grandchild, Alfie. Alfie suffers from terrible Eczema which is so bad that it takes over his life in a miserable way.

He has multiple Hospital appointments and creams, lotions and potions to apply everyday in the hope that they will give him some relief from his sore skin, which  is often weepy, split and bleeding.

Whilst talking about this at the School gate, when collecting my Childminding children, a friend called Lyndsey Singleton offered some advice, which on reflection was the best thing we had heard to help Alfie for years.

She is a Forever Living Representative and suggested that we try two products

the first is a fabric washing liquid called MPD- multi purpose detergent- which is made in a safe way as to not harm Alfies delicate skin and help him settle at night, and not itch in his clothes.

MPD is a multi purpose detergent that can not only be used on clothes, but you can also use it as a surface cleaner, it is non toxic and environmentally friendly

The second thing she advised was a cream called Aloe Proplis which is a skin moisturiser and conditioner. It heals the skin and reduces scaring, heals cuts and spots 30% faster than normal creams. Its is 100% natural and antibiotic

so we agreed to give it a go and the next day armed with both products I headed off to my Sons house.

Straight away he washed all Alfies beading and night clothes and towels, in the hope that it would give him a itch free night’s sleep.

After his Bath he applied the cream. Alfie has a phobia of all creams now, as they often sting his skin, so we knew he wouldn’t like it at first and we would have tears.

Lyndsey had told us that it works from the inside out and would take a little time and to persevere.

But when your child’s arms and body is this bad, you will try anything

we continued to wash all his clothes and bedding in the MPD and applied the cream twice a day. As his skin started to heal, the rash began to scab over and heal. Alfie was feeling better and will even put the cream on himself now. He is more confident and is a much happier child.

We have been using the combination of Forever Living products for around 6 weeks now and although Alfies skin is not completely healed, you must admit there is a massive improvement and we are all very happy with the results

if you would like to use these products your self or on someone you know who suffers from Eczema then I would advise you to contact Lyndsey  Singleton on this link, where she will be happy to give you advise on products to help you in your situation

Breast Screening- it’s time to look after yourself

Today I have an appointment to go for my second Mammogram breast screening at my local breast screening unit.
Mine is held in a port-a-cabin in the grounds of my local Hospital.

This time I have debated with my self weither to go or not go. I have talked my self into it and out of it at the same time.
As I said earlier this is my second time of being called up, so why would I hesitate to go…..Because I have read all the horror stories about women being diagnosed with Cancer and going through invasive surgery and treatments to discover later that they didn’t have it.
It made me question

should I go or not?
What would I do if it was positive?
How would I cope?

Then I told myself to step back and breath…… These things hit the headlines because they are rare and that is what makes them a Story….If they happened all the time it would not be sensational.

Now I know it must be horrendous if this has happened to you in real life, I can’t imagine the horror you must have gone through and my thoughts go out to you and I wish you the best possible recovery

Because of the information out there on miss diagnosed breast cancers ,numbers of women attending scans have dropped 63.3% and I can understand the concerns and fears.
It’s important to have the information to see both sides

But….the fact is that 1,300 deaths are prevented each year by having this simple scan and acting on the results in time.

Is there really a choice? I don’t know the answer, it’s a very private thing, and you have to decide.

Who is it offered to?….
The N H S offers this free scan currently to all women aged 50 to 70.

You will be invited to your first scan around your 50th Birthday and then every 3 years up tonight 70th Birthday.

The service has been extended in 2016 to also have the ability to include women slightly younger and older to participate if they wish to.
As it was discovered that the likelihood of getting breast cancer had increased, so the service is also available to women aged 47 to 73 years old.

To get involved early you need to request through your Dr as far as I know, otherwise you will automatically become invited at 50.

So I made up my mind and went along at my alloted appointment time.

I was treated by a receptionist who checked my personal details, then taken to a small cubicle and told to remove my upper clothes and bra, but then replace a top for dignaty.
Which I did.😚

I only had to wait a minute or two before I was called into the scan room.
This looks very much like a small x-ray room, with similar type equipment.

I was told to remove my top and then talked through how to position myself stood against a machine that would scan my breast.
The nurse in charge physically positioned me in the right place and talked me through each step.
You have two scans to each breast, so four in total

They are uncomfortable I will admit, because your breast is pressed and squashed to allow full pictures.

But it is Not Painfull in any way and takes only moments to do.

Once done I returned to the small changing area and re dressed.

I was then informed that all the results would be sent to me within two weeks and given a leaflet thread on signs to look for in your breasts.

So that was it,
it honestly took longer to get my parking ticket from the machine, than have the procedure done.

I know I have to wait for the results, but I’m slotting it into a place in my mind and getting on with my life.
No need to worry at this point.

I was fine last time, so I have no reason to think I won’t be this time.

note: Its now 20th January 2017 and I have just received a letter from the Hospital informing me that all the results are showing no sign of Breast Cancer. So that is all done and dusted and great news

So if you are due yours or just received your very first invitation to attend.
Yes it is a worry
but remember this

Mammograms are the most effective way of being diagnosed early and saving lives.
So go have it done xxx

All my ramblings are my own interpretation of events and I am not associated with breast screening or the NHS in any way.

Last of the Christmas shopping

Hi everyone, many thanks for popping in.
How is your Christmas shopping going on ?

I have just completed the last of mine online. So much easier than dragging around the shops and saves a massive amount of time as well.
Which is something I never seem to have enough of these days.

I have been searching for a life like Labrador retriever stuffed toy dog for my mum, who adores dogs.
She can’t have a real one anymore as she has Alzheimer’s, but I have got  one as realistic as I can and I have got it being delivered to my local Argos store on there click and collect service. What a fantastic idea.

Mum is having to go into a rest home , possible short term, but that will have to be confirmed after a few weeks ( il keep you posted )
So I’m hoping she will love this and it will give her back old memories.

And for my Daughter in law ( who is expecting their first baby) a very fashionable middi  grey dress and rose gold choker from ASOS which is being delivered tomorrow 👏
So now I can breath, well as far as gifts go.

Because we are going away for Christmas, I had this amazing idea to bring the Special day forward and have Christmas day on Sunday 18th.
Get all the family and children around to give presents out and have a few drinks together.
This was before I knew mum was going to be in Hospital and then need to go into a rest home for a while.
Also to add fuel to the fire, we invited all our friends round for later when family have gone to finish everything off

Phew no pressure there then

But I’m sure it will all fall into p!ace.
Until then take care

First post and introduction

Hello and thanks for dropping by.
This is my very first blog ever. It’s hard to know where to start with my first post.I am sure it will develope as I go along.
So who am i? For those that don’t know me my name is Sandra , I am in my nifty fifty,s and I live with my partner in a lovely small country village in the North of England, close to the coast.
I work as a Before/After School Childminder and I love to resell on eBay. I am a self confessed savvy shopper, who loves a bargain.Cant stay away from the car boots in the Summer and love freebies to test and review .
2016 has been a difficult year for me and my family. My father passed away in the start of the year and my Mum has Alzheimer’s and is about to go into residential care, short term basis for now . But the horrible part of the year is nearly over and next year we have a new baby coming into the family. My eldest sons,s first. So I can practice being a fussy nanna again lol.
Next week we are off to Egypt for ten days of rest and relaxation. I will pop another post on and tell you all about it.
So I will leave this little intro here for now.
Chat again soon
