TreeBee 100% Beeswax Cosmetics & Bee Conservation Company-product review-sandraviews.co.uk

Hello and Welcome back to my blog https://www.sandraviews.co.uk, where I share my view on the world

Today I was lucky enough to stumble upon a wonderful cosmetic stall on Ormskirk Market in West Lancashire. It is my home town and im a regular visitor to the market, but I had never found this stall before.

www.treebee.org.uk

I soon struck up a conversation with Abigail who is the Daughter of this amazing family, who live down the road from me in Burscough. She was so enthusiastic about the business, what it achieves and the good it does for the community and of course the bees, that I was keen to learn more and to share it with you.

The stall was a wash with gorgeous  smelling products, all 100% handmade and natural, made with the excess bees wax, made from bees that they have rescued. The company is a non profit community interest company and all the money that is made goes back to the preservation and rescue of bumble and honey bees. Which is very important as bee numbers are decreasing every year.

After chatting for a while, Abigail gave me a business card and I was soon onto Andy her Father asking how I could get involved and letting him know I love to write for this blog.

He very kindly gifted me three pots of hand cream, to test and review, so I can share my experiences with you.

I received a 30ml pot of Beeswax & May Chang Hand Cream, a 30ml pot of Beeswax & Lavender and lastly a 30ml pot of Beeswax & Geranium – all of which retail at only £5 each, what a bargain

Beeswax and May Chang = £5.00

Beeswax and Lavender= £5.00

Beeswax and Geranium- £5.00

you can see the full range here- https://www.treebee.shop

The small round , tin pots are perfect for travel, handbag size or pop them into the glove box of your car, for hand care on the go.

The tins have a screw top lid, which makes it easy to get into and easy to keep clean, no mess in your bag and no bursting tubes of cream everywhere. The bees wax makes the hand cream a solid block, so no accidental spills or overflow and the look is 100% Natural and handmade, no factory mass produced items here.

The smell of the cream is delicate and light, not overpowering or sickly , with only natural smells and no traces of chemicals. Its always nice to know what is going onto your skin and with these products not only are you doing your skin good your are benefiting the environment as well. Double Whammy.

The hand cream was easy to apply and smoothed into my skin easily, leaving my hands feeling instantly hydrated and superbly nourished, which is something considering they are often in water, out in all weather’s as I always forget or loose my gloves and get chapped and dry very quickly.

Because the main ingredient is Bees Wax, the cream doesn’t disappear instantly into the skin, making you feel you need to apply more, but instead it forms a perfect natural barrier on the skin continuing to protect and nourish, making my skin feel smooth and not tight.

I have placed one in my handbag , one in my car and gifted my Mum with the third one, she chose the May Chang as she said she had never smelt it before. She is 83 and says her hands feel youthful once again. Bless Her.

You know I only recommend items and products I have actually tried, and I can honestly say that these are lovely, get them as a little gift for someone, or treat yourself. At £5 each they wont break the bank and you will have helped to save a future bee hive.

Thanks for taking the time to read my little posts, and don’t forget to subscribe to make sure you don’t miss the next post.

Take care

Pharmaton Vitality Capsules-Licensed Medicine product review-sandraviews #add

Hello and Welcome back to my blogger page, where I share products I have tried and loved and articles I am passionate about.

This product review is for Pharmaton Vitality Capsules.

My packet of Pharmaton Vitality Capsules was sent to me to try out ,so that I could give you an honest report of what I think of it and how I have got on using it. The pack is for 30 days and you take one tablet per day. The tablets are easy to swallow and leave no nasty herbal type after taste. In fact they don’t have a taste at all.

Pharmaton Vitality Capsules is a unique multivitamin with minerals and Ginseng G155 which acts as a boost to vitality and helps you to feel better, be more alert and less tired and have the added bonus of making your feel fuller longer , so you will eat less . It’s ingredients are Gluten Free and do not contain any Nut Products so are safe to use if you have allergies.

I have been using the tablets once a day for 7 days now and I can honestly say that I am very pleased with the way it has reacted with my body. I suffer from constant tiredness, I think it is a combination of such a lot of things going on in my life, what with work, my mum being in the nursing home with Alzheimer’s and trying to juggle a work life balance. Its something that we all have to do and it sometimes catches up with you, leaving you feeling drained and lacking in energy. Since using the tablets i have noticed that i am not as tired at the end of the day, before i could happily go to bed very early, sometimes as early as 8pm and wake many times through the night, so when i wake i was feeling just as exhausted  as when i went to bed. Since using Pharmaton Vitality Capsules every day, i have much more energy, i am less tired and feel refreshed in the morning. Which to be honest i didn’t think would happen as quickly as it did, but from the onset of taking these caplets, i have noticed a massive difference .

A big benefit of taking Pharmaton Vitality Capsules has been the fact that i have not felt hungry and i am eating smaller portions on my plate, feeling fuller and more satisfied with what i am eating and not craving sweet things as much. I can even get through the children’s snack time, without having to sample as i go, which for me, has to be a good thing.

I will continue to use them and follow a healthy diet and see how i get along. I think the benefits of feeling less tired, having more energy and feeling less bloated and hungry are all benefits we could do with having more off.

. I can highly recommend  them and will continue to use them myself, as the health benefits they have given me are a major plus in my life right now.

Wilaniko’s Moringa Oil- Product Review#ads-SandraViews

Hello and Welcome back to my site www.sandraviews.co.uk, where I share my ideas and thoughts about products I have either bought myself or been sent to review. And subjects I feel are close to my heart.

I was recently sent a bottle of Wikaniko’s Moringa Oil to test out and review for you. It came in a good sized 100ml pump top bottle, which is easy to dispense and keep clean.

Moringa oil is a 100% natural oil , which is renowned for its natural properties. Wikaniko’s Moringa Oil is organically farmed in Spain and unlike some other manufacturers of the oil, they only use the leaf from the plant and not the whole bush, sticks and fly’s included. Wikaniko’s Oil is 100% pure and has been Vegan Certified.

Moriga Oil is known for its Anti Aging properties and is used by Cosmetic industries and added in small quantities to their face creams, with Wikaniko’s Moringa Oil you are getting the full oil and not a small amount. So that has to be a better product for your skin and is not as expensive as some of the branded products.

As its a Cold Pressed oil, you only need a small amount, it goes on easily and absorbs into your skin well. My skin is left feeling instantly hydrated and It feels plumper and smoother and more nourished. My laughter lines wrinkles are a big concern and are very deep, as I am always screwing up my eyes in bright day light and I like to laugh a lot, which is not a bad thing, but not good for my wrinkles,  after using moringa oil for a few days I felt that they where smoother to the touch and not a prominent.  The smell is very slightly herbal, I can only detect a very faint smell and it is not an unpleasant herbal smell, more of a refreshing smell. The oil will last a long time and has a long shelf life, mine has until 2019, so it is very economical to use. You could even use this oil as a salad dressing, but it would be a bit expensive to do that

The oil is also extremely good for skin conditions such as Eczema, severe dry skin, and other skin conditions as well as an anti-aging oil. My sister in law, suffers from Eczema on her elbows and I gave her some to try and to see if it would work on her itchy dry skin. She was very impressed with how well it was absorbed into her skin and later that day she texted me to say that it had worked wonders and she hadn’t noticed her itchy elbows for the rest of the day. I gave her the website www.wikaniko.com and a code to use MOR10 which will give both her and you a discount up to the 31 March 2017. So hurry , don’t miss out  on this great product.

here is the direct contact  details to take you straight to the site – https://tinyurl.com/moringa10

I can highly recommend Wikaniko’s Moringa Oil, and I will continue to use it twice a day on my face, neck and decollate, I even put it on the back of my hands, its so hydrating and nourishing, it would be silly to not use it on every area where my age is starting to show. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy and my make-up sits nicely over the top. I use a little more at night so it can sink into my skin while I sleep and its benefits are staring me in the face in the morning. I have tried many face and body oils over time and I can honestly say that this is up there as a top favourite for me. One that, when this gifted bottle runs out, I will be going to the website to buy again. You can not buy this product from over the counter or Amazon so go to www.wikaniko.com to get your own bottle and don’t forget the code MOR10 to get a reduced discount while it is available.

If you have any questions regarding this oil and how I have used it, what I feel about it or how you feel about it when you have used it, let me know. I love to hear your thoughts on products you have used as well. So comment bellow , I always reply to every comment I receive.

This product was gifted to me to review for you. I have not been paid to review it and I am not sponsored but as it is a review using a gifted product  I am declaring it to you. I am honest about my reviews, so you are happy and secure in the belief that I feel the product is a good one for you to try out yourself.

Anxiety the word doesn’t sound that bad-How I got mine under control and you can to -sandraviews

Hello and Welcome back to my Blog page sandraviews ,in which I share my own view on the World.

Today I wanted to talk to you about a subject that I am hearing about more and more these days, it has affected me in the past and still does on occasion and it has affected my family and friends.

Anxiety- the word its self doesn’t sound that serious , but if you are the person who is suffering the Anxiety attack or Panic attack as some people refer to it as, I can assure you it is very serious.

It is a feeling of overwhelming fear, being completely out of control of the situation and a fear of the unknown. It makes you physically ill and unable to carry out everyday normal duties. It stops you from eating or sleeping, makes you not wish or to be unable to socialise and even in extreme cases makes you unable to leave the house. It is all consuming. To the point that it takes over your every thought and action.

There are medications you can take that do help, but I feel that a more organic solution is required to keep it under control and to put things into perspective.

When I have had bad episodes of Anxiety and Panic attacks In the past, I have talked it through with Family and  Good Friends, friends who I still have today, they stuck by me and listened, tried to help as best they could and never ridiculed me . Not everyone understands and the” get a grip”, conversations help nobody.

Secondly I have taken physical action to override my Anxiety,

I personally took to walking, I would walk and walk until I felt calm. While I was walking, rather than think about what was bothering me I would try and take in the nature I had previously passed by and enjoy it. I would look at the wildlife and farm animals, the woods and the wild flowers and soak up their energy. Now I know you think this sounds all a bit Hippy, but it is amazing how calming it is and having that bit of time everyday just to walk and think, look and enjoy, gave me chance to recover.

The other thing and the one I would like to share with you today , is the one that no matter where you live, what your physical state is or your area of living, is the one thing you can do straight away to take back action.

This one thing will give you the power to control your Anxiety, to put it in the box it needs to go into and to rationalise why you feel the way you do. Nobody can do that for you. You need to take action to do it yourself.

What is this Magic thing?

Write

that’s it very simple Write.

Write… I cant say it enough, if you write you physically put on paper the ideas that come into your head, it helps you to see in words what is bothering you, how you feel and what it is doing to your life.

This can start with a simple list, write down in one list everything that you feel has gone wrong, everything you fear, everything you would like to change, you get the idea. Then you can physically see it.

The next step is to write about each section in as much detail as possible, see if you can write down the worst you think it could be and where you actually are now. That way you will see that you are actually and probably a million miles away from your worst fear.

Now I know I write a blog and share things on here, but opening your worst and very personal feelings to the world is not something you are probably not  going to jump up and down with joy at the prospect for doing. So I suggest you just write just for You now and not to share with anyone else. Keep it as a private extension of your everyday being, your thoughts as they happen, your wishes for the future and how you are going to take back control over your life, and you will, trust me , you will. And to help you do this , I am going to say here and now , if I can help , let me know, I might not know the answer, but ask anyway.

I write this blog, about many things to do with family, getting older, health, you name it and im on it. Now I know that writing a blog and sharing it with the World is not everyone cup of tea, in fact it would probably cause Anxiety for some people. I on the other hand feel that if something I write, puts it in perspective for me and helps someone else do the same thing along the way, then it is worth doing.

So if you feel you can, start to write a blog, there are plenty of YouTube and Google articles that will help you to start one up. It really isn’t that hard to do.

To get you started I would suggest you maybe keep a diary, where you write in everyday, write about how you feel that day, what are you hoping to achieve and set yourself a goal, even if it is just to cut the grass or sit in the garden and read a chapter of a book. Or even to just get out of bed that day. What ever it is and what ever stage you are at , it doesn’t matter

By writing it down you have acknowledged it and as such you have started your recovery. You are on that first step back to normality. You can do this.

You could use a Diary as I have said, or write on a safe private page on your computer, put sheets into a clip folder, it doesn’t really matter. Just do it and do it every day.

You will start to notice , that as the days and weeks go by, you will be writing more and other things will start to happen in your life. It will take time , but you will start to gain back some control over your life once more and start to get better. It took me a year of walking to fully feel back in control, on the plus side I lost 4 stone as well.

As you get into your writing you may feel, like me, that what you are learning about yourself and your anxiety and how you are coping , may in fact help someone else. So then I suggest you start a blog or  you could even write a book about your journey and publish it on Amazon. You don’t have to have certificates behind you to do good in this World, sometimes you have to experience these things to truly see the wood for the trees.

The whole part of Anxiety is the feeling of being out of control, so by doing this one small thing, you are taking back control. Whats the worst that could happen? you will have a book that is full of your ideas and thoughts, feelings and ideas, how can that be a bad thing?

So come on . Take Action , do it now, grab a book and a pen, don’t think about what to write, nobody is judging you on content , grammar or spelling ( thank goodness for auto correct I say). In fact nobody is going to see this except you. So give it a go.

Let me know how you get on. I am interested to hear your ideas on how you are managing your Anxiety, you might even be able to help me.

Good Luck, please subscribe to receive  more posts like this and on lots of other subjects as well. Share it across your Social Media, every little helps to spread the word. Take Care

How to choose Good Childcare for your little one? What choices do you have?

Hello and Welcome to my site sandraviews.co.uk

Todays post is one that is very close to my heart and one that I have been asked many, many times from Parents in the past.

How do I know what is the best form of Childcare for my baby?  What choices are out there?

I qualified as a NNEB Nursery Nurse way back in 1980 and I have worked across all areas of childcare from being a Nanny, working in School as a Special Support Assistant, Children Centres as a Play leader and running my own Playgroup and dedicated Event/Wedding Nanny, right up to my role for the last 10 years as a Childminder, rated Good by Ofsted. So I feel I might have enough experience to help you with this question.

If you are in the position of needing childcare, it can be a mine field trying to work out what is best for your own child, its so hard having to even think of going back to work after a baby, but sometimes its for economical reasons or career reasons, back to work you must go.

So lets look at what choices you have.

Ok so we have worked out that for what ever reason you now need to go back to work. Its a terrifying prospect but it has to be done, so what choices are there?

Basically you have

Parents

1/ If they are  available and not working the times you need themselves.

2/If they are living close enough to make it feasible to use them for childcare

3/ If they are young enough to manage caring for a young baby or child

4/ If they are in good health themselves to be able to care for a young child or baby.

But remember this, Family may have other commitments that might not suit yours sometimes. You may need extra hours that they might not be able to fulfil or you might feel uncomfortable asking them. They might decide after a while that it is to much for them and you are then back to square one, looking for childcare again. On the other hand it may  be the perfect solution.

Nursery

This can be expensive and you need to remember that your child will be one of many. They will not get one to one care and attention, as the carers have to consider all the children in each group they manage. But you may feel that the option is more appealing to have more than one member of staff working with your child and your child will be mixing with a larger group of children. Sometimes there can be as many as 20 children to each room. Also the building will be a dedicated childcare environment. Nurseries are inspected by Ofsted and need to comply to certain regulations. The staff will all have some form of childcare qualification and undergo regular in house training. The hours they are open will be set and they will not be able to care for sick children, so you will need to be able to arrange for cover if you have to work and your child is sick. Also be aware that if you are late collecting your child you will be charged a extra fee, without exception. Ask for references , as this is a good way of finding out what parents think of the Nursery. Lastly take a look around you. Do the children look happy? Do the staff look happy? How do you feel about the place?

Childminder

A childminder works either alone or with assistants, she can have up to 4 children under 3 and 6 under 8 at any one time on her own. The numbers will change if she has an assistant. They work from their own home, but some like me have dedicated childcare spaces, set out with toys and equipment both within a certain space in the house and in their gardens, much like a Nursery. Also like a Nursery they are inspected by Ofsted and need to comply to certain regulations. Your child will have more one to one attention and although they will be in smaller groups, they will be mixing both in the Childminder’s home environment and within the community at Playgroups, outings etc. So if your child getting outside and mixing into the community is important to you, this is something you need to think about. Ask the Childminder about her typical day, what does she do ? where does she go? what activities does she have to offer? You will be surprised how much she can pack into a day. Childminders didn’t have to be trained, but these days all childminders are trained and have to be qualified in First Aid and Food Hygiene , some like me have formal training as well. So don’t be afraid to ask what qualifications they have, im sure they will be more than happy to let  you know what they have in place. Also ask for references, as these are a good way of chatting to other parents who use the service and what experiences they have had with their own children. Ask yourself some questions, Do the children look happy and are they busy playing? Where will your children sleep? How does she deal with discipline? Like a Nursery , Childminders are not able to except sick children , so again you will need a back up plan in case you need to work over those times. Unlike Nurseries, Childminders set their own working times, some may be flexible and able to accommodate extra hours or days, this may be something you need to ask . Also some will charge for late pick up’s and some will not bother. Its down to the individual person how she runs her business.

Private Nanny

This is the most expensive choice of the lot. But it is something that you may feel is the best choice for your family. The Nanny could be qualified or not, there are no laws that say a Nanny needs to be qualified or inspected by any governing body, to date (2017) this may change in the future. To find a Nanny you can either

1/ go through an Agency which you will need to pay a fee to register with. The advantage of this is that the Agency should have vetted the prospective Nannies for you and will give you a list of suitable Nannies for you to consider. Some may even interview them for you, however I suggest that you do this yourself if you have the time. They will all be different and you need to be able to get along with her and feel confident that she know what she is doing.

2/ Advertise for a Nanny yourself through magazines or newspapers or the Social Media. Be very aware of checking all their papers and qualifications, CRB and Passports. Also think of your own safety when interviewing these people. I would suggest that if possible you interview them outside of your own home and away from your children for the first interview, then once you have checked the credentials out and are happy with what you have read about them, you could invite them for a second interview. Never take someone on before you have done an Enhanced CRB and you have checked out references. Remember this person is going to be working in your home around your personal items and will be in charge of your child.

A Nanny can be full or part time, they can live in  or out of your home and will work hours that you stipulate at interview. You can also set the expected duties that you wish them to complete. They will be able to care for your child whilst it is ill and you can build in some babysitting duties as well if that is something you may require. You will be employing the person to work for you and as such you will be expected to pay all stamp duties and income tax as well as provide meals and possible sick pay. You will need to check with the national Insurance and Tax people as to the current regulations you need to apply to in your own country and area you live in, as these can change from place to place.

If you wish your child to accompany you on Business trips or you require childcare on Holiday and Vacation’s then a Nanny will be an asset to you. I have worked as a Nanny in the past and I have had some good experiences and some bad ones, always remember it is a two way street, you may be employing her but you need to make sure she is happy and her needs are being met as well as the needs of yourself and your child or children.

Lastly you  can always team up with another family to employ a Nanny as a Nanny Share. This is where two families share the same Nanny and as such you share the costs involved with employing the Nanny . She works her hours across both homes and will usually live out.

So the initial choice is a very personal one, and if you don’t have a definite choice in mind, I always suggest that you explore all the options in your area, you will know instinctively what you like and don’t like about each place. Write notes and ask questions at every place you go to. The staff wont mind and you will feel you have made the right choice when you do. Ask about staff qualifications and training, if this is something that concerns you. Ask other Parents you know about their feelings on each place, recommendation goes along way. But also remember that what suite one person , may not be right for another, so don’t right something off because your friend didn’t like it. Go and check it out for yourself. Think of all the areas that might arise and how you will cope. Will you be able to take time off if your child is ill? or will you need to have someone who is able to do this for you? How will you fund your childcare? Check out if you are able to get Government help towards the cost of childcare.

As you can see there is a awful lot to think about and take into consideration when choosing childcare. Take your time and give yourself plenty of time to explore all options, leaving it to the last minute to find suitable childcare will cause you lots of stress and frustration. Think about availability of space, the place you are looking at may not have spaces, or the Nanny may need to give notice at their current place first before she can start with you.

So  now you have an outline of all the options available, take this and see what is available around you, make a list and go and see them. Explore what’s around you and feel excited about this new venture. Be confident that you as a parent will make the right choices that suit you and your individual family.
